With unexpected turbulence, variable winds cascading over the surrounding hills and a tight short airstrip, DMAC is not for the careless.
But with concentration and aptitude it is one of the more challenging and ultimately rewarding strips to fly your R/C aircraft on.

Go too far to the left and you meet with Victorian Iron Bridges, too far right and if you miss the football and cricket pitches you might catch the top of the 70 foot oak trees!
And if all that isn't enough and you get caught too far out with a cut engine and it wont be just a long walk or drive you will have, you'll also get a swim as well as the Canal or River Calder collects what's left of your aeroplane.

The DMAC airfield has a limit of up to 7Kg and is suitable for I/C, electric and helicopters. There are always qualified examiners there to help and advise and encourage you to take and pass your 'A' and then 'B' certificates.

The airfield throughout the year plays host to competitions, events and examinations.
Socially it is home to a small but very friendly set of enthusiasts who are always ready and willing to pass on their experience to help.
So what are you waiting for?
DMAC is one of the best airfields in the area and one of the most challenging.
So, are you up to the challenge?
Dewsbury MAC is affiliated of the British Model Flying Association.
