and Issued April 2003 1. All Club
members are to be fully paid up members of the BMFA before using the flying
field and a valid BMFA membership card must be displayed when flying. All
members must achieve minimum 'A' Certificate within 6 months of joining the
club. Until they do so they must be accompanied by an approved club instructor
whilst flying.
2. All instructors must have a minimum 'A' Certficate,
the commitee will maintain a list of approved instructors.
3. Vehicles
must be parked in the area provided. Members are allowed to drop equipment off
at the side of the pit area but must then comply with the above instructions,
and must at all times keep their vehicles off the mown grass area.
4.
Permitted flying hours for all aircraft will be :- 10-30 am - 8-30 pm
Weekdays. 11-00 am - 8-30 pm Saturday and Sunday.
In addition there
will be a short non-flying period each day: - 4-30 pm to 5-00 pm weekdays.
5-00 pm to 6-00 pm Saturday and Sunday.
There are no restrictions
on the hours for NON-POWERED Gliders. There will be no I.C.
powered control line flying permitted on Saturday or Sunday.
Special
functions taking place on the nearby playing field may require us to further
limit our flying hours. Members must use their own discretion in this
situation, remembering that good flying fields are hard to find.
5. Engine noise must be restricted to a maximum of 82db at 7 meters, or
within any future DOE requirements.
6. Radio controlled equipment must
be operated on ODD frequencies only.
7. RADIO CONTROL FAILSAFES PCM
or PPM with add on failsafe to engine / motor. Any powered models flown
with a radio control failsafe device must have that device set so that its
operation brings the engine / motor to run at its lowest speed ( stopped in the
case of electric powered models ) and specifically not to HOLD the last
position of the engine / motor control. It is the responsibility of the
pilot to ensure that the failsafe is operating correctly before each flying
session and he/she may be required to demonstrate this to a club
official
8. ALL FLYING MUST BE WITHIN THE DEFINED BOUNDARIES, AS
INDICATED ON THE SITE PLAN BELOW.
9. The maximum number of I/C powered
models in the air at any one time is limited to four, including control line
models when permitted.
10. Frequency pegs can only be retained for a
maximum period of 15 minutes when the flying field is busy.
11. Pilots
are required to obey instructions given by officials of the club at all times.
12. Members wishing to have visitors fly at the club field may do so
provided that the visitor can show proof of a valid 'A' Certificate and valid
insurance and that prior permission is obtained from a club official. All
guests must abide by the club rules
